Welcome to LG Photo Co.
Kia ora e te whānau, thanks for having a read of our first blog post. Here we want to keep you up to date on the things we are up to with the business and fun stuff we get up to. We know you are busy people so we will aim to have short reads you can enjoy a hot drink with. But first, we would like to introduce ourselves and tell you how we got here :)

Kia ora, ko Lauren tōku ingoa. I’m Lauren, founder of LG Photography Co.
I grew up in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand and moved to Wellington where I studied and worked in government for 8 years. Now, I’ve decided to start a photography business and see where it takes me. I’m also about to move to Dawson City, YT Canada where I’m excited to capture some amazing landscapes and practice my night photography.
In the past, my focus has been landscape photography but I’ve recently gotten into business photography, pet portraiture, and performance photography. My passion lies in capturing moments through the lens and embracing the processes involved in delivering a final product.
I am always curious and eager to hear and collaborate on your ideas. My aim is to deliver captivating photos that resonate with you, evoking memories, emotions, or a sense of connection to a place. Whether it's capturing the candid moments of a family reunion, the elegance of a corporate event, or the raw beauty of untouched landscapes, I am driven by the desire to tell compelling stories through my lens. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me so we can chat about what stories you are wanting to tell - I’m excited to see what we can create together.

Kia ora, I’m Wāhia Te Pōuri Felise
Nukunonu | Ngā Rauru | Ngāti Ruanui | Ngā Ruahine
I’ve been a performing artist for 14 years and have spent the last 7 years training and performing alongside some of New Zealand’s best. Now, I’m excited to be producing music, shooting and editing videos, and managing social media for LG Photography Co.
I started dancing as a plan to spend more time with family during school hours. This is where I found an early interest in performing arts. From dance competitions, recitals, school matinees, to government and private functions. I’ve done it all when it comes to performing arts, dancing, singing, acting, managing, writing, producing, and composing.
I started my professional training at age 15 when I trained with Heilani Polynesian School of the Arts for four years. In 2017, I found myself wanting to take what I had learnt to the next level and completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Whitireia in 2019.
The last ten years have taught me a lot about myself creatively and now I am looking at more sustainable ways to remain in the industry without the physical strain that dancing puts on my body. Like how the Undertaker had to step down from wrestling because he got old. I know my knees will thank me!
